The anime film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea is confirmed to premiere in Malaysia starting 14 May 2026.
Fans of the light novel adaptation anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime have reason to celebrate. The upcoming theatrical movie “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea” will soon arrive in Malaysian cinemas. The film features an original story planned and supervised by author Fuse.
The story takes place after the Grand Opening Festival of the Jura Tempest Federation. Rimuru and his companions are invited by Elmesia, the ruler of the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion, to relax at a private resort island. However, during their vacation, a mysterious woman named Yura suddenly appears, bringing new turmoil to the peaceful azure sea.
The movie promises expanded storytelling and enhanced visual presentation, allowing fans to experience Rimuru’s growth and friendships once again on the big screen. Even viewers familiar with the anime series can expect a fresh cinematic experience.
